Zambian musician Chama Camila Decruz was born on Christmas 1992 in Lusaka. She’s a singer, songwriter, model and actress who has performed on various concerts and beauty pageant events. While speaking to ZambianMusic.Net, Camila Decruz told us that her late mother Patricia Jumbe was her inspiration. She practiced with me every time I had entertainment competitions at school. My mother would train me how to sing, dance and make sure that the crown is happy.  Camila Decruz is the second born in the family of three.

My mother was a business Woman while my father was a police officer. When my Dad past on, life became so hard for my mum to look after we her children. I remember she used to tell us to be strong. She always advised us to be obedient and hard working. After a few years, my mother too went to heaven. Life became harder, together with my siblings we had to find a way forward. We ended up going different ways in search for shelter.

In the year 2013, I composed my first song, but I never got a chance to record it not until in 2014 when I released it. Title of the song was One Love and to my surprise, it received quite enough power play across most radio and TV stations within Zambia. Since then, my music graph has been blessed for I have so far worked with Zambian musicians like Tsean, Hamoba, Ruff Kid and so many. My dream is to be recognized as one of Zambia’s finest music divas as well as fashion stars.
