ZambianMusic.Net notes that Meister (AKA Meister Martin) born as Martin William Phiri is an enthusiastic and ambitious Conscious Reggae artist from Lusaka Zambia. Born in a family where there are no traces of any musical background, he wonders where it all began from but believes that God has a purpose for every human being and although we may be born from a same family with our siblings but our destines are completely different and peculiar to each one of us. He began he’s musical journey early in his child hood as he got inspired by the sounds of great musicians such as the likes of Bob Marley, Maxi Priest, and many other reggae genre legends, Michael learns to rock, Lionel Richie as well as many others the list is endless “ I get inspired by good art”. Locally he got inspiration from the likes of Fortune Nyondo (Zambia’s great gospel artist of all times) who happens to be his great inspiration even today as he embarks in his own works.

He comes with the message to preach about the message of love and unity, realities of life; such as things that influence the social world of man and his tunes are always carrying an uplifting message to help his listeners keep trusting and believing and have a positive mind in the journey of life, he believes that love is the greatest cure of the world’s problems and so to demonstrate his love for a brother he thrives to talk about the issues that concern human life in a more conscious and sound manner that will help build society in a more positive way for the betterment of humanity. Music can’t be resisted he believes, it is all around us and all we have to do is just open up our hearts and let it in. Music has the power to change human beings because it can manipulate and rearrange one’s soul what matters is what music one listens to. He hopes to grow to be a great artist who shall impact people’s lives positively through his music.
