Zambian musician Judy Yo, real names Judy Melele is a multi style singer who mainly does RnB. Judy Yo was born in 1990 in Mufulira district on the Copperbelt region.
Close friends to Judy Yo told ZambianMusic.net that she (Judy Yo) attended Hillcrest Secondary School. Judy Yo also attended Nipa where she was awarded with a diploma in Public Relations. She started her career at the age of 18 in 2008. It was rare at that time in Zambia to have a young teenage female artist singing RnB in local language. The image sold well taking her debut album "Supernatural Woman" to number 1.
True to her lyrics of her song Even If, taken from her debut crunchy album Supernatural Woman, sassy songbird, Judy, is also one of the wonders of the Zambian music industry even if she is not among the most talked about song sisters. She debuted on the local music scene with a steamy album that instantly shook the industry and quickly caught the attention of the organisers of the Born & Bred Video awards in 2009 when she received her maiden nomination.
ZambianMusic.net recalls, in the year 2012, Judy Yo releasesd an eight track album called "Chikawama". The songs Anaka, Bepushe, which features P Jay, her collaboration with Dalisoul on the song Filachitika, Where You Are, Umunandi and Niwe all make up this astonishing eight-track album from the girl who likes calling herself Judy Yoh.
