After failing to deliver his anticipated music album for almost a year, Zambian musician - Macky2 is now aiming at starting his own reality TV show next in a few days from now.
A true megastar who needs no introduction, Macky2 is ready to show his fans – and haters – a side to him they don’t know with his upcoming Zambezi Magic reality show King Bugar, premiering on Sunday 5 June at 20h00, reports Zambezi Magic press team.
As Zambia’s top recording artist, with millions of YouTube views and hundreds of thousands of social media followers, Macky2 (real name Mulaza Kaira) is ready to share his most intimate and honest self in a series that charts his journey from shackles to the throne of music.
King Bugar chronicles how he manages his brand and relates to the business world, while also showing us his softer side, introducing the audience to his family life. It’s a real story of transformation and hope, about a man who is living the dream.
“King Bugar is an exciting addition to our content slate – we’re pleased to welcome a star of Macky2’s caliber to our line-up. As someone with a sizeable audience and dedicated fanbase, he is someone many look up to and hope to emulate, and this show will help them see the man behind the music,” said Mosibudi Pheeha, Channel Head for Zambezi Magic.
“We’re proud to give our audience premium local entertainment where they can see parts of themselves reflected on screen, and King Bugar lives up to these standards. It’s not just a reality show about a superstar musician – it’s about a human being who worked their way through difficult circumstances to get to the top,” she concluded.
The show’s 13 episodes will also give viewers an inside view into the musical genius’s creative process, as we follow him into the studio while he records his latest album. But it’s not all glitz and glam: we’ll get a real look into what it takes to produce and market creative projects, and to witness Macky2 in his element as a businessman. Viewers can also get excited to witness appearances from some of Zambia’s heavy weights such as Chef 187, Ben Lombe, Welsey Chibambo, Yo Maps and many more
