With interactions between his friends and police officers sometimes striking a contentious tone, a Zambian businessman identified as Mwansa Isaiah Chama had an idea that if successful, he figured would spread peace and love on two totally different fronts.
Mwanda wanted his engagement proposal to his girlfriend - Nchimunya Saasa, to be unique and memorable. We have learned that, Mwansa wanted this to be different from what other Zambian men have done. He also wanted to flip the script on police-community relations.
ZambianMusic.net understands that, yesterday, Mwansa Chama was pulled over by Mobile, Lusaka police as he was having a good time with his friends. The situation then got tense when the three police officers informed her girl friend that he was arrested on charges of murder.
Police simulated the intense scene by pointing inactive tasers at Mwansa.
Kneeling in the circle of cops, Mwansa Chama, believed to be in his early 30s eventually got out the ring and proposed to her girlfriend Saasa. Saasa's anxiety dissolved into relief when she realized what was actually happening. She couldn't beleive it all. At first se walked away for she couldn't take it all.
"I felt like that was the perfect set-up to do something like that and bring everybody together," Mwansa said.
