His full names are Clergy Gilbert Ng'andu, he was born in 1988. He is a sensational Zambian rnb gospel artist who's passion is to bless, transform and inspire his generation with his music ministry. Clergy is the second born in a family of three, married and a he's a proud father. He was raised by a single mother in the heart of Chawama, a place conspired to be a ghetto. Clergy launched his music ministry in 2005 when he was in grade 11 at Lusaka High School and later in 2011 he decided to take singing seriously and approached Taonga Sakala popularly known as TAZ the CEO of GOEMI RECORDS in Lusaka, Taz is one of best music producers in Zambia.
ZambianMusic.net believes that Clergy sampled some of his songs to TAZ and the studio fell in love not just his music but his voice too and signed him under their label. Clergy has produced one successful album called 'Today' which features the likes of Ephraim the son of Africa, Innocent Mumba and the late Marvin B3. Clergy sings and performs in 3 different languages (English, Bemba and Chinyanja). Apart from music, Clergy has been working in hospitality industry since the year 2006. He got his first job at Holiday Inn which was later re-branded to Southern Sun Ridgeway, where he was hired as a waiter. He worked for Southern Sun Ridgeway for 6 good years as a casual worker. He was later hired at Grand Palace Hotel as a waiter and later he was promoted Food and Beverage Supervisor and after 2 years he was shifted to the Front desk as an assistant Font Office Supervisor. Finally, Clergy does not take his music as mare singing but rather as a lifestyle because he lives what he sings about.
